Connect Apple Search Ads
Upload the key Apple asks for, paste back the three IDs, and pick the organisations to sync.
Apple Search Ads does not use OAuth. Revenue Sensor generates a keypair for you, you upload the public half in the Apple Search Ads UI, and Apple hands you three IDs to paste back. The private key never leaves our server, so you never handle a secret.
Before you begin
- Admin access to your Apple Search Ads account, so you can create an API user.
- A few minutes — this is a two-step handshake rather than a single popup.
Connect the account
- 1
Start the connection
Integrations → Apple Search Ads → Connect in the Revenue Sensor console. We generate a public key and show it to you — copy it.
- 2
Create an API user in Apple
In Apple Search Ads, go to Account Settings → API and create an API user, uploading the public key you just copied.
- 3
Paste the three IDs back
Apple issues a Client ID, a Team ID and a Key ID. Paste all three into Revenue Sensor. We mint the first token immediately, so a wrong value fails right away rather than silently.
- 4
Select organisations
The organisations the API user can reach are discovered automatically. Select the ones you want to sync.
What gets imported
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Cost / spend | Daily local spend, per organisation, in the account's currency. |
| Impressions and taps | Taps are stored as clicks, alongside impressions. |
| Installs | As reported by Apple Search Ads. |
Spend only
Apple Search Ads is a pure spend source — revenue is always zero here. Your App Store revenue comes from the App Store Connect connection instead.
Troubleshooting
- Setup fails when you paste the IDs: re-check the Client, Team and Key IDs, and that the public key was uploaded to the API user you created.
- No organisations listed, or a 403 on sync: the API user lacks access to that organisation. Grant it in Apple Search Ads and reconnect.
